You live and you learn, right? And the best way to learn all there is to know about the world is to go and see it firsthand. That’s why I love globetrotting so much: it gives me freedom and an opportunity to meet people with different cultural backgrounds, hear their intriguing life stories, grow and expand horizons through exposure to new experiences and environments. Travel expenses, however, can be a real bummer, at least for me – I’m not good with figures and I’d rather leave the financial part to someone else. That’s why Trippeo is my best travel companion: this cool expense management application lets me book tickets and accommodation, track all my payments and create expense reports, so I can focus on the trip and enjoy it to the fullest instead of losing time and nerves in an endless struggle with bills and conversion rates.

I first used Trippeo for business trip purposes back in 2014, as my superiors at work considered it an ultra-convenient tool for monitoring and reimbursement of travel costs. After I’ve seen what a time- and money-saver in business it can be, I figured, ‘Why not try it out with my private trips? So I gave it a shot during my holiday in India this winter and it worked like magic: my travel itineraries were carefully laid out before, during and after the trip and every cent I spent during the vacation was well-accounted for. The mobile software also allowed me to keep tabs on the sums I spent on individual holiday dates, and I was able to plan every flight well in advance based on airport schedules, calendar entries and crunched figures. It’s amazing, actually: Trippeo delivers a customized ticket offer based on a pre-set price category and departure dates directly to your inbox so all you have to do is pick the flight that suits you best.

Another Trippeo aspect I like a lot is the option to automatically import credit card and bank transactions performed via more than 2,000 banks around the globe. This way, you can get an accurate real-time insight into individual payments denominated in your national currency based on up-to-date currency conversion rates. This is especially useful for plane-hoppers who don’t want to fuss with conversion to and from different currencies – it saved me hundreds of dollars on my globetrotting sessions all over Asia last month, so I can now set aside the savings for other trips in Europe.

Furthermore, Trippeo can analyze accommodation costs based on trip budget plans and find best hotel deals in the specific price class. Other noteworthy features of this end-to-end travel expense management application include a beautifully laid out web analytics dashboard, compatibility with Apple and Cloud operating systems, travel mileage and time tracking options and integration capacities for third-party platforms, which means you can get even more figures relevant to your trip.

Trippeo is every modern nomad’s reliable ally for all travel-related money matters. I’m a fan already – and you’ll probably become one too as soon as you try it out!

Oh wow! I think I’m definitely downloading Trippeo tonight!  Wish that I knew about this app before I went to my Netherlands Trip earlier this Summer!  Well I’ll be sure to use it the next time I go travelling – which unfortunately I have no idea when will it be :( !  But I do hope to go snowboarding again this Christmas break, so stay tuned! x
