The philosophy of clean eating basically includes ingesting nothing but whole or unprocessed foods. Both of these terms can be perceived as ambiguous, since there isn’t a universal definition which can say what’s considered to be either ‘whole’ or ‘unprocessed’. Some versions of clean eating include veganism, while others allow particular kinds of meat. However, one thing is sure about it – clean eating is based on eating as many nutritious, home-cooked meals, and not on counting calories. If you want to learn more about it, just stay with us and keep on reading!
How good is clean eating for you?
The idea of eating foods like fresh fruits and veggies in their natural state can’t be bad for you, especially because they are free from refined sugar and artificially added colours that can be found in processed foods. Some people often go even more extreme and exclude dairy, gluten, and grains from their diet as well, which is also fine – particularly if you’re intolerant or allergic to any of these.
Where does it come from?
The whole concept of clean eating has been around for a decade, and it was first accepted by the celebrities like Jessica Alba, Katy Perry, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Miranda Kerr. Of course, it reached its peak once food bloggers turned to it and started talking about it on their social media accounts. The truth is that clean eating is very widespread today, and many think of it more as of a lifestyle choice than of a diet. It can be linked to teenage girls and young women in their 20s as well, which is why it became so popular all over the globe.
Why did so many people fall for it?
The reason is pretty much simple – it’s healthy and beneficial for their health on many levels. Instead of processed foods that are full of damaging chemicals and refined sugar, you should definitely go for healthier alternatives that exclude all those harmful substances that your body doesn’t need in the first place. If you decide to switch to clean eating, make sure to stick to it even when you don’t have time to prepare your own meals. There are many companies that offer amazing catering services and healthy food choices like smoothies, salads, and fruit boxes. You won’t make a mistake if you opt for them!
As you can see, the concept of clean eating is created to help you eat healthy and keep your body under control, even when you don’t have much time to prepare your own meals. It’s a truly fantastic philosophy, and you surely won’t regret if you switch to it!
