LFW AW2015 Mariana Jungmann Fashion Show
It was an absolute surprise when I was handed the invitation card to Mariana Jungmann’s catwalk show of her A/W 2015 Collection – Hypnagogia while I was in the middle of an internship interview with ThenandNowShop.com.
It was a regular Friday afternoon, I’ve just finished all the classes for the week and ready for the weekend, except I was due for a PR & Marketing internship interview with ThenandNowShop.com in one hour. So I hastily grabbed my canvas bag and rushed onto the tube from Elephant & Castle to Stonebridge Park. After a 45 minute tube ride, I arrived Zone 3 and was somewhat feeling more prepared for the interview than an hour ago.
To my bewilderment, during the interview I was handed the invitation card to Mariana Jungmann’s catwalk show. There and then, I received my first ever invitation to a London Fashion Week event – no words can describe how ecstatic I was! Yet, there was only 45 minutes till the show starts, so as the interview ended, I ran back onto another 30-minute tube ride from Zone 3 to Central London.
With luck on my side, I made it – barely! Wearing casual attire and a canvas bag I use for school, I was feeling rather out of place being surrounded by fashion week Glamazons in their 5-inch stilettos and designer garments. Too under prepared, I was holding an iPhone amongst journalists/photographers with their professional camera equipment – talk about juxtaposition!
I was lucky enough to have made it on time, but unfortunately didn’t have time to see the showroom before entering the catwalk show. Yet I already feel so blessed to have been able to experience and be a part of the London Fashion Week. Not only that, but to be exposed to an event of such scale, it was such an eye-opening experience.
Mariana Jungmann’s collection was mesmerising, her use of the Renaissance lace, choice of fabric, and laser cutting details all contribute to her collection’s unique silhouette. Simply, yet classy.
So here’s a short video I took (with my iPhone) and a few photos of the show. Enjoy x
Was this during the interview of the internship you got for this Summer?? A ticket for fashion week… damnnn!! that’s so cool

Aw, this was a really good post. Finding the time and actual
effort to produce a great article… but what can I say… I put things off a whole lot and
never seem to get nearly anything done.
