Our skin is the map of our lives and every wrinkle is made of joy, sadness or anger, uneven complexion can be caused by stress, acne by unhealthy diet, and some skin flaws are simply a heritage from our parents’ genes. Since it is clear that not all of us can get the perfect skin on a silver plate, we have to try to find some different solutions. Change in diet and skincare routine are not always sufficient to achieve smooth and glowing complexion. All that is left for us to do is to turn to some unconventional methods to cheat our way to perfect skin. Here are some popular non-invasive skin treatments that will serve the purpose.
Cortisone Injections
When we would have to count all the annoying skin issues, acne would probably be on the very top of everyone’s list. Some people’s skin is so affected by this menace that all the beauticians and skin creams in the world cannot remove it. Luckily, there is a new acne fighter in town and it is called cortisone injections. These injections are attacking inflammation which is the very source of acne and which causes redness and swelling. The treatment is not invasive and the recovery time is insignificant, while the results can be visible within several days.
Fraxel
Fraxel or laser skin resurfacing is a non-invasive treatment which can address aging (face, chest, neck, hands, legs, arms and back), sun damage, certain kinds of melasma, acne and some surgical scars and fine lines around the eyes. Sydney has a great facial rejuvenation clinic, but you can check in other major cities too. Note that after the treatment you should take good care of your skin so you could achieve long lasting results (about 1 year).
Monopolar Radiofrequency
This type of treatment is used for tissue tightening and it can reduce the sag of the face and neck and tighten the skin. During the procedure, a single electrode is applied on the treated area, while the other – opposite electrode is relatively far removed, causing the current to go deeply through the body. The treated area is heated and the skin laxity and sag are reduced.
Microneedling
Microneedling is a minimally invasive treatment which uses a device that contains fine needles. The goal is to create tiny holes in your skin, thus creating micro injuries which are replaced with new collagen and elastin during the recovery process. The procedure is also called collagen induction therapy. It provides decent results when it comes to reducing the visibility of wrinkles and acne scars, and smoothening out the skin texture. The treatment is safe, simple, quick and, most importantly, chemical-free.
Microdermabrasion
Similar to your regular at-home exfoliating, but far more effective, microdermabrasion is using a controlled flow of microcrystals to peel off the dead skin cells. One of the most useful effects of the procedure is that it leaves your skin ready to absorb the skin products you are applying and thus make their results more visible and your skin smoother. There is practically no downtime and you can go back to your regular activities the same day.
Factor 4
We are sure that you have heard about vampire facials. Well, Factor 4 or otherwise called Autologous Anti-aging Serum is a new take on that popular treatment, replacing the blood injection with serum containing highly concentrated blood plasma and thus making the results even better. The serum is a natural collagen growth stimulant and it is not only making fine lines and wrinkles less visible, but it also improves the overall skin appearance.
Non invasive skin treatments are so common nowadays that people look at them as using makeup or skincare creams. Do not hesitate to try out some of them and finally have amazing skin!

I have to say, oh wow. I have never actually looked into non-invasive skin treatments before, but then I guess I have always just been really lousy with skincare :/ Sometimes I just feel a bit intimidated by these treatments! But I would love to hear more comments on how you find non-invasive skin treatments and are you up for it? Do they really achieve good results? and most importantly – do they hurt?!
