The Veuve Clicquot Asia’s Best Female Chef award celebrates the work of an exceptional female chef, inspired by the life and achievements of Madame Clicquot. This year’s award winner is Chef/Owner of TATE Dining Room & Bar, Vicky Lau. Vicky is a true innovator who breaks the conventional rules of food to create a platform for artistic expression. Her ‘edible stories’ are a true page-turner, captivating diners with their rich imagery and intriguing play on flavours and textures. Taking the audacious first step to pursue her passion for the culinary arts, Vicky left a career in graphic design to enrol in classes at the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu in Bangkok. Honing her stills at the Michelin-starred Cépage in Hong Kong, Vicky is a true trailblazer who has changed the landscape of her industry by daring to do things differently.
