Decorating your flat is a really fun process that makes you feel more fulfilled and satisfied with your own life. Of course, those little details and accessories should resemble your own personality, tastes and preferences. Therefore, everyone takes the task of decorating their flat very seriously. This is especially true for fashionistas who love to show their style and fashion sense in every aspect of their lives. In this regard, some of the following tips can be really helpful.
Unique wall patterns
Combining regular paint with some interesting wallpapers is definitely trendy in the world of interior design. One can often see geometrical patterns and photo collages in designer magazines. What’s more, book or newspaper pages as a wallpaper cover can add a lot of texture to the modern style flat. Wall of bricks is also very popular and pretty easy to achieve with some self-adhesive wallpaper.
Wall display
If you simply don’t know what to do with that one wall (or part of the wall), but you don’t feel like a hanging picture would do justice to the whole atmosphere, make your own wall display. Someone who treasures their stylish accessories would not only find this idea perfectly acceptable and interesting, but practical as well. You don’t know where to put all of your designer bags? Hang them on the wall display. You can do the same with your scarves or jewelry.
Statement rug as a centerpiece
Stylish flats don’t focus on TV sets anymore, when it comes to the layout of the room. Nowadays, it’s usually some interesting décor piece, such as a statement rug, that catches the eye. Sheepskin or cow hide rugs really bring out the fashionable – as well as warm – feel of any interior. However, rugs of bold striking colors – that are usually in a complete contrast with the rest of the color schemes in the room – are also very popular.
Bookshelves are not only for books
Is there such a fashionista that doesn’t hoard shoes? Highly unlikely. A great décor piece in a fashionista’s flat would definitely be a wall bookshelf filled with the most gorgeous pairs of shoes. Not only will you be able to take better care of your footwear and change up your display every season, but you’ll also find it easier to choose the ones that would go perfectly with a certain outfit. Also, this breathtaking collection will impress any visitors you might have.
Designer bathroom
It is said that bathroom is the most important room in every home because this is the place where people take the time to relax and unwind after a long day. Having a comfortable bathroom where one can take care of their appearance is very important for fashionistas. Most designer bathrooms include marble, glass and stones in their look. Mirror on the whole wall that hides different storing compartments, completely surrounded with marble is a fashionista’s dream come true. Cleaning, on the other hand, can turn into a nightmare if you don’t tend to your bathroom regularly with great cleaning products, such as Koenig Polish spray, that ensures the perfect sparkle every time you enter the bathroom.
No clutter – more luxury
There’s no room for clutter in a fashionable flat. The intricate décor is achieved with smart use of regular bits and pieces, such as striking and glamorous furniture pieces like glass tables. Combined with matching elegant candles and plant pots, one can easily bring the glamour back into the flat.
As mentioned before, the essential thing when decorating your flat, is to keep in mind your own ideas and taste. You can use as many tips as you want to give yourself a sense of direction in your task of redecorating, but style it and organize it in a fashion that appeals to you the most.

I honestly wish that I could re-decorate my flat! But with the amount of clothes, shoes, bags and whatnot, that I have to sort through, it would probably take me weeks just to clear out my flat! Not to mention all the books and magazines that I have lying around at home! I am definitely taking onboard the advice that ‘There’s no room for clutter in a fashionable flat.‘ So first things first, I certainly have to CLEAR OUT UNWANTED ITEMS!
