VEUVE CLICQUOT PRESENTS PROJECT “YELLOW IS THE NEW BLACK”
Champagne house celebrates the art of living differently.
As promised in the Veuve Clicquot Sakura Party post, here are the details for Veuve Cliquot’s exciting “Yellow is the New Black” Campaign!
Founded in 1772, Veuve Clicquot was transformed into one of the most prestigious champagne houses by the efforts of one remarkable woman, Barbe-Nicole Clicquot Ponsardin. Known as La Grande Dame (The Great Lady) of Champagne, Madame Clicquot was a trailblazer who challenged conventions and defined the art of living differently at a time when businesswomen were unheard of. The inventor of the ‘Riddling Table’, the first to create a Vintage champagne and the first to make Rosé champagne by blending red and white wines, Madame Clicquot is considered one of the first businesswomen of the modern era – a truly outstanding individual who left behind a heritage of audacity and innovation. As a result of her enduring legacy, Veuve Clicquot applauds what it is to “be BOLD, be DIFFERENT, be CLICQUOT!” This May, the House of Veuve Clicquot puts a playful twist on the idea of the black sheep who stands out from the flock for being different. By using the signature Clicquot Yellow colour and positioning a yellow sheep as the stand-out character in a flock of black sheep, the house is making a striking statement that “Yellow is the new Black”.
Kicking off with a launch party on 13 May 2015 (TONIGHT!) at Armani Privé, “Yellow is the new Black” will include a city-wide installation of quirky sheep to surprise and delight, alongside a series of “Yellow Hour” and “Yellow Night” parties through to the end of May. More importantly, however, “Yellow is the new Black” is a celebration of innovation and the art of living differently which sees Veuve Clicquot embarking on a design collaboration with a handful of outstanding Hong Kong individuals whose unique ‘zeste de folie’ has changed the landscape of their industries. Look out for these specially customised sheep in a tribute to well-known and loved personalities who sparkle with an inimitably Clicquot attitude.
See you tonight at Veuve Clicquot’s “Yellow is the New Black” launch party! ;)
