ghd StyleTruck Experience – How to style your grown out pixie cut!

Following my introduction to the ghd StyleTruck, here’s my amazing ghd hair transformation experience!

Curling your hair with tongs or straightening it with flat irons are probably nothing new to those who have had long hair for most of their lives, yet curling pixie cuts might be new to most of you! – Well it sure is for me! I’ve never owned a pair of tongs nor flat irons in my life before!

How many of you have experienced that terrible phase when you’re trying to grow out your pixie cut?  That hair length when you’re hair is too short to tie up yet too long to be neat?  Well I’ve been stuck in that phase for quite some time now, and I must say, everyday felt like a bad hair day for me!

So today, inspired by my ghd StyleTruck experience, I would like to share some tips on hairstyling for grown out pixie cuts!

As I sat down on the ghd StyleTruck, my hairstylist asked me how could he help me with my hair.  My instant response was “whatever you could do with it!” – Well, I know that my hair is in that mid-range where you can’t really do much with it anyways, plus I have really limp hair that droops easily, I’ve always had trouble with styling my hair!

He recommended the ghd Curve Classic tongs and suggested that I go for a laidback classic curls look.  The transformation started with loads of mousse on my hair and then combing it out to create this luxe laidback bedhead.  Then the curling started!  I sat patiently for the hairstylist to curl my hair, which didn’t take very long considering that I did not have very long hair to curl! – Doesn’t this add to the convenience of curling short hair! ;)

With enough hairspray and backcombing, my hair did indeed start to feel transformed! (I’m sorry that I don’t have the “before” look, I was too excited I forgot to take one!)  But along with my hair transformation, my length of my hair actually looked longer as well! – Isn’t this simply the perfect illusion for grown out pixies?

I have to say, I felt absolutely flattered with my new hairstyle!  This Classic Curl look actually didn’t seem that classic after all!  To me, it felt like a flamboyant chic look that would go perfectly well with my everyday wear!
