OMG! Aren’t super excited about the upcoming road trip with the girls? Sure you are! There’s nothing some time away from the everyday life, new and exotic places, new people and above all experiences that will make for a wonderful memorabilia!

However, for a road trip to go smoothly, there are a few things you need to organize and think of, and make sure your wonderful time away isn’t shattered by some trivial things like forgetting to bring a charger or getting bitten by an insect with no cream to treat it.

So, we’re putting together a tutorial that will stir you in the direction of smart decisions and awesome planning. First of all you need a proper luggage. plenty of travel accessories such as a good old Samsonite travel bags can be found online or in local stores – the offer is pretty extensive.

Here we go:

Think comfort

Doing anything or going anywhere without feeling comfortable is a sure recipe for disaster. Since you are going on a road trip, you need to bring your usual necessities and make your vacation easy.

Think comfort

The travel items that will ensure comfort are:

  • Sleeping/neck pillow
  • Blanket (nothing too bulky or heavy)
  • Earplugs
  • Water bottle
  • Reading material
  • Snacks
  • Sunglasses
  • Sneakers or ballerina shoes

Gadget love

Remember: the point of your road trip isn’t to spend the whole time huddled over a screen, but it will definitely be useful for taking pictures, snapchat, making videos of your experience and a call here and there if needed (you may want to check in with somebody or call a friend you remember lives in the town you are visiting).

Gadget love

Bring:

  • Smartphone
  • Earbuds
  • Charger
  • Tablet computer
  • Camera
  • Get pretty: Must-have toiletries

First aid kit

Wherever you go, you should always have a first aid kit in your car, especially when you are going somewhere far from home. It’s important you pack essentials like medicine you usually take, crèmes against insects, antiseptic wipes and wet wipes (dry wipes, too), band-aids, and medicine you take for allergies. Bring some aspirin, too.

Beauty/hygiene kit

Beauty hygiene kit

No, don’t bring everything you’ve got in your beauty kit, no need. Bring the essential pieces of your makeup you usually use –

Makeup kit:

  • Concealer
  • Powder
  • Bronzer
  • Lipgloss / Lipbalm
  • Mascara

As for your hygiene kit:

  • Moisturizer for face/body
  • Mini shampoo, conditioner
  • Deodorant
  • Razor
  • Tweezers
  • Tampons/pads
  • Contact lens case and solution (also, extra disposable lenses)
  • Glasses
  • Comb/Brush (add a few hairbands and bobby pins)
  • Toothbrush, toothpaste and floss
  • Birth control pills (if you use them)
  • Sunscreen

Dress for comfort: Look great, feel great

Dress for comfort Look great, feel great

Going on any sort of a long trip may be a bit uncomfortable, especially if you are going by bus/train. Cars are somewhat a better experience, especially for road trips. While you’d probably rather wear a pair of trainers or yoga pants and stay in them throughout the whole trip, we also assume you want to look super hot in the pics you take, right? We totally get it!

Here are the essentials to bring/wear and feel comfortable but look fab!

  • Cotton dress, long
  • Long-sleeve and short-sleeve shirts (no more than two of each)
  • Jeans/shorts
  • Scarf or shawl
  • Sunglasses
  • Bathing suit and flip-flops
  • Pajamas
  • Bras, underwear and socks
  • Flat sandals and sneakers
  • A few favorite pieces of jewelry

We think we’ve got you covered! Obviously, depending on the time of your being on the road the luggage will increase or lower, just make sure you don’t pack things you don’t need. Stick to the items you know you like wearing, and you’ll be good. Have fun and take a lot of pics!

  1. Great List! I especially love the clothing list, I am so bad when it comes to choose outfits, but your list seems both practical and perfect for every road trip! Thanks for the post. :)
