The Cambridge Satchel Company Experience
I’ve always wanted a satchel from the Cambridge Satchel Company. They’re always so classy, plus they look down to earth, ready to accompany you on your journeys.
I was always on the lookout for new designs and new colours, yet I still haven’t got one until recently as I’ve never managed to find a colour that I absolutely adored, plus I couldn’t decide on which style to get, the Satchel? Or the Batchel? I could never choose, and they all look too big on me! (one of the many disadvantages of being petite is that I can never pull off holding an oversized bag!)
Then the miracle happened, they debuted their Mini Satchels! I was simply overjoyed! Yaye! Finally a pretty little bag I can carry around. But then reality hit – I’ve already got half a dozen of tiny bags that can only fit my kindle, phone, cardholder and a packet of tissues if I’m lucky. Hmmm, maybe I need to rethink about getting the Mini Satchel, plus they don’t have it in teal! So then I went through their online catalogue, and discovered the 11” and 13” Batchel in teal! I couldn’t tell which size would suit me more, so I then decided to go in store to decide on which one should I get.
Upon arrival to the store in Covent Garden, I was completely shocked to see all the bags they had in store! It was exactly like what I saw on their website, all the colours, various sizes and styles all tangible in one place! After thirty minutes of indecisiveness, I finally decided to go for the 11” Batchel in teal. Ahhh, the size is just perfect for me!
I chose to simply emboss A . S on my newly purchased Batchel – for Anna Susanne – basically my signature for everything now! But embossing is £7 per letter! What an outrageous price! But then, what’s a bag from the Cambridge Satchel Company without the signature embossed initials right?
Almost forgot to adjust and punch more holes onto the strap before I left, well another disaster for petites like me if your bag just dangles from your shoulders! Oh! And not to forget to mention, the staff there are extremely chill and friendly! I shopped with the perfect amount of privacy I would like, they would only come up to you if they see you hanging with a question mark over your head, otherwise they’d just leave you to bond with the bags!
The Cambridge Satchel Company is also doing a collaboration with Peanuts (Snoopy and Woodstock) right now and its absolutely adorable! So you might want to pop into the Covent Garden store sometime soon just to discover what’s there that might suit you!
Happy mid season sale everyone! x
